COMING JANUARY 30, 2026!

🏡 The BakYard will transform Dingbat’s MainStage into a cozy backyard space filled with picnic tables, grass, stars, a campfire (fake, I mean, unless we get crazy) and community vibes. The BakYard will be home to four MainStage productions, three Dingbat Sings themed cabaret events, open Mic Nites, and BakYard Bash an 18+ Nightclub experience. These events will run in repertory with each other in The Bakyard on alternating dates. Calendar to be released in the coming weeks.

BakYard Bash is a special immersive nightclub experience for the 18+ crowd. On select Friday and Saturday nights at 10:00 p.m., The BakYard will turn into a nightclub for folks to gather, party, and enjoy live music, drag, dancers, drinks, and more!

Dingbat Sings is Dingbat Theatre Project's cabaret series. Each Dingbat Sings has a different theme for Dingbat Artists past, present, and future will entertain you! Dingbat Sings events are on select Friday nights. Themes will be announced at a later date.

The mic is open, baby! Every month(ish) Dingbat hosts an OPEN MIC NITE. Dingbat's Open Mic Nites are special because we provide a platform for performers to present their work to a tuned in audience rather than a passive audience at a bar or restaurant. Select Friday nights!

VIP TABLE FOR TWO ~ $120+
This is reserved VIP table seating at cabaret or picnic tables for up to 2 guests. Parties of 4 will automatically be sat at a picnic table. Includes complimentary lemonade (spiked or un) for the table)
ADULT GENERAL ADMISSION ~ $35+
First-Come-First-Served General Admission Seating. There are 15 accessible seats in the theatre, 10 high top seats with tables, and 26 seats that require a step to access. Some seats are obstructed view, so we advise ticketholders to arrive with ample time to select their favorite seat and enjoy pre-show activities. 
IMMERSIVE FLOOR SEATING ~ $10+
First-Come-First-Served General Admission IMMERSIVE FLOOR Seating. These seats put you in the middle of the action around the campfire. Patrons should be comfortable sitting on non-traditional seats including bean bags, pillows, blankets, etc.
FAMILY GENERAL ADMISSION - $12.50+
First-Come-First-Served General Admission for families of four or more (two adults and two children). Patrons must purchase four tickets to be eligible for family general admission tickets and these tickets are only available for performances of Seussical.

That's ok! Breathe. We'll explain it to ya... It's simple. THE BAKYARD is what we are calling Dingbat's MainStage from January 30-March 29, 2026. It is an immersive, cozy backyard space with picnic tables, a bandstand, a conversation pit, and more magical surprises. THE BAKYARD will be home to four of Dingbat's MainStage productions and many special events running in repertory.When the space is not in use for a performance, it will be a great place for members of the community to gather to relax, collaborate, or create.

​The Bakyard is just another name for Dingbat's MainStage Theatre. It is located at INDOORS Dingbat Theatre Project at 7288 S Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231

WHAT DOES "REPERTORY" MEAN?
