Since 2023, Dingbat Theatre Project has provided a work study program for adult individuals with intellectual and development disabilities to learn technical theatre, customer service, design, and life skills. The program is individualized for each individual based on their goals. Members of the work study program get the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals to learn these skills.
Individuals are accepted to the program throughout the year on a case-by-case basis and will need to send a cover letter and three references to [email protected] for consideration for the program.
Past participants of the Inclusive Work Study program have had the opportunity to learn and apply customer service skills through front-of-house work, learn and apply backstage crew skills alongside professional theatre technicians, and learn and apply important life and professional skills like scheduling, teamwork, and more.
