DINGBAT THEATRE PROJECT SUMMER AUDITIONS
Dingbat Theatre Project is excited to announce auditions for our Summer 2026 MainStage productions of Romeo & Juliet and Natasha, Pierre, & The Great Comet of 1812 and an immersive variety show production of Friends of Dorothy Live at the Disco Rodeo.
Auditions will be accepted through online submissions ONLY. Please submit a YouTube link with your audition materials to [email protected] BY Monday, April 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. Please also include a headshot and resume with your audition submission.
We are seeking vocalists, dancers, actors, drag performers, burlesque performers, improvisors, circus performers, etc. for all four productions.
VOCALISTS: Vocalists should submit two 32 bar cuts OR one 32 bar cut and one classical monologue (Shakespeare preferred). 32 bar cuts should be in the style of Great Comet and/or pop/rock in style.
ACTORS: Actors should submit a one minute dramatic Shakespeare monologue.
SPECIALTY PERFORMERS: Drag artists, burlesque artists, improv performers, dancers, etc. can submit a 1-5 minute performance reel AND a short video introducing themselves and what projects they are interested in.

Casting 8-14 variety performers to play multiple roles in an immersive and interactive variety show experience. The show will be built around the performers who are cast. Performers must be 18 years or older by May 3, 2026.
ROMEO AND JULIET

Casting 8-16 actors, singers, dancers, and variety performers to play multiple roles in a new adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
ROMEO MONTAGUE: Any gender identity. Must be 18+ by April 20, 2026. One of the star-crossed lovers. Incredibly romantic, passionate, angry, and misguided. Should be comfortable appearing in states of undress.
JULIET CAPULET: Female-identifying or non-binary. Must be 18+ by April 20, 2026. One of the star-crossed lovers. Incredibly romantic, naive, eager, and misguided. Should be comfortable with burlesque performance and appearing in state of undress.
